Just the other night at a late night movie. My Fiancee and I ran into my high school flame, and as I introduced them, the past came back to me. And I couldn’t help to think the way things used to be. She was the one that I wanted for all times and each night I’d spend praying God to make her mine. And if He’d grant me this one wish I wished back then, I’d never ask for anything again.
She wasn’t really the angel I remembered. And I could tell that Time had changed me, but mostly her. And I could tell that I no loger felt the way I did back then. We tried to talk about the old days, but we couldn’t recall much. And as she left the movie, I looked up and thanked the Lord for all the gifts in my life.
I guess the Lord always knows what He is up to. And I’ll forever be thankful for all the unanswered prayers. Remembering that when I talk to the man in the heavens, just because He doesn’t answer does not mean He doesn’t care.
